Recently it’s been quite a few backyard shindigs but this past weekend we had quite the celebration. Cassie and Will got married at the Honeysuckle Tea House in Chapel Hill and it was fantastic! The couple both reside in Dayton, Ohio but met while attending NC State. They went on their first date to grab a beer (which was $5 but Cassie convinced the bartender to give them it for $2 because they only had $2 between the two of them), and then parted ways as plans Will had with his dad. They met up again later that night for some Cookout milkshakes and the way Will puts it- the rest was history. Beer and live music have since been a staple of their relationship.
Cassie was convinced she wouldn’t be surprised by any proposal Will planned….They stopped by the Dayton Public library and when Will got down while browsing the DVD section Cassie was so surprised she didn’t even take him seriously at first!
On to the day they tied the knot—It was quite the special day.. The couple decided to get married in Chapel Hill to be close to friends and family, although loved ones did travel to be part of the weekend. They found ways of making the day truly special by involving those they love. Meg, Cassie’s right hand lady did all the coordinating and might I say she killed it. Will’s childhood friend played cello as Cassie came down the aisle and they both exchanged personal heartfelt vows in front of all their loved ones. For the reception it started off with Will’s dad giving a tearful toast and Kayla, Cassie’s sibling played the piano and sang during their first dance and parent dances. The night ended with an epic dance party! We had an absolute blast capturing Will and Cassie’s day; here are just a few of our favorite moments!
